Patient & Family Education Series
Educational sessions, given by physicians from the Arrhythmia Center, can help you learn more about living with an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD). Sessions include a Q&A session and light refreshments.

Stroke Survivors Support Group
Stroke survivors and their caregivers often need help adjusting to the changes in their lives. Support groups help stroke survivors, caregivers, and other family members obtain information and offer them the chance to share concerns, network and form new friendships.
Schedule: Meets third Wednesday of each month, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Left Ventricular Assist Device Support Group
A left ventricular assist device can offer hope to patients living with advanced heart failure. Adjusting to living with the device may be challenging. Our support group can help patients and caregivers obtain information and share concerns.

Stop Smoking Classes: Ready to Quit?
The American Lung Association’s Freedom from Smoking ® program is for individuals who are ready to quit smoking now. Because most people know that smoking is dangerous to their health, this program focuses on how to quit, not why to quit.

Diabetes Support/Educational Series
Ongoing monthly support and lecture series on a variety of topics pertinent to living with diabetes.
Schedule: Monthly courses available offering alternate day and evening hours. Please call for dates and times.
Fee: Possible insurance reimbursement; pre-registration and physician referral required.

BraveHearts
Those recovering from open-heart surgery share experiences with other surgery patients and provide counsel. Meets monthly to enjoy a featured speaker on health-related topics of interest. This friendly group also offers a full calendar of social events that includes: golf outings, fishing trips, annual King & Queen of Hearts Dinner-Dance, picnics, day trips, as well as a telephone network of support to connect individuals with Braveheart members who have experienced the same type of procedure.
