The Clinical Laboratory is licensed by New York State Department of Health and is certified by:

Do I need a prescription?
Yes. New York State regulations require that the laboratory receive a written order from your physician.
Do I need to be fasting?
Only for certain tests such as glucose (sugar) or lipids (cholesterol & triglycerides & HDL). Ask your M.D. or call the lab for instructions.
Do I need special instructions regarding medications I am taking?

Do I need to register?
Yes. You must stop at the Cashier’s Office located in the Main Lobby of the hospital. Bring ID and current insurance information.
What Insurance Plans do you accept?
We accept most major plans, however, for specific coverage, please check with your carrier.
Do I need to make an appointment?
No. The laboratory has a walk-in service during regular daytime hours. The lab is located on the lower level of the Hospital, in Roslyn. For directions to the Hospital, click on About Us.
What happens to my test results?
Your results will automatically be sent to the ordering physician. You can also make arrangements to have your results sent to any other physician that may be involved with your health care.
