Our 2200 Northern Blvd. campus reflects St. Francis Hospital’s commitment to meet the growing demand for non-cardiac specialties, such as cancer care and orthopedic surgery. 

The Cancer Institute at St. Francis Hospital replaces fear with confidence, providing comprehensive, world-class cancer care close to home. Under the direction of distinguished oncologist, Bhoomi Mehtrotra, M.D., patients receive an integrated approach to cancer treatment with St. Francis Hospital’s signature commitment to excellence and compassionate care. The Cancer Institute was awarded three years of full accreditation as a comprehensive cancer center by the Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) – the highest recognition the commission can award a new program. The Cancer Institute at St. Francis Hospital takes a multidisciplinary approach to treating cancer with an integrated network of caregivers: surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, diagnostic radiologists, pathologists, and other cancer specialists. Our Magnet recognized registered Nursing staff are 100% oncology certified, both in inpatient care and at our infusion center. Our care strategy benefits patients by having their entire medical team working collaboratively to tailor a medical strategy suited to each individual’s needs. Our exceptional physicians have received numerous honors, including being named Castle Connolly’s “America’s Top Doctors” and New York magazine’s “Best Doctors” annual listings. 

The East Hills Surgery Center utilizes five operating rooms, each specializing in procedures that allow patients to return home the same day. The same place/same day experience will make the process much easier on patients. St. Francis Hospital performed more than 3,000 orthopedic cases in 2016, including the most joint replacements and revisions on Long Island. The East Hills Surgery Center will handle most of St. Francis Hospital’s outpatient cases.

The St. Francis Diagnostic Imaging Center offers state-of-the-art medical imaging inclusive of these modalities: 

  • CT Scan (low dose)
  • PET CT
  • 3T MRI
  • Ultrasound
  • Diagnostic X-ray
  • Echocardiography

St. Francis Diagnostic’s radiologists are board-certified. Your imaging results are interpreted same day as your visit, by some of the most experienced radiologists and cardiologists in our region. The center is currently the only hospital on Long Island using the powerful 3T MRI for cardiac applications. We are is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR). Our highly trained staff offers personalized service and will work with your insurance company to secure same-day certification. All insurance accepted. St. Francis Diagnostic is usually able to schedule your appointment the same day you call.

The St. Francis Weight Management Program offers six-month medically supervised program offers a customized approach for achieving weight control. Options include a choice of diet meal plans, nutritional counseling, exercise planning, and psychosocial support. We know how difficult losing weight can be. But whether your goal is to lose 20 or 200 pounds, our clinical team will be with you all the way to help you achieve and maintain a healthier lifestyle.
