Interested in Participating in a Research Trial at St. Francis?
According to the American Heart Association, one in five Americans has some form of cardiovascular disease, our nation’s leading cause of death from illness. The St. Francis Hospital Cardiac Research Department is working to reduce these staggering statistics. Researchers are using the most advanced imaging technologies – such as cardiac MRI at 1.5 and 3 Tesla, 3-D and 4-D echocardiography, quantitative cardiac PET/CT and 320-slice cardiac CT scanning – to explore the intricacies of the heart. We always share the testing results with you and your doctors. There is no cost to you or your insurance company. Please contact us if you have known heart disease of any kind such as heart attack, dilated heart, thickened heart or have had heart failure. We are interested in recruiting people with emphysema or COPD. We also welcome normal individuals to help us set the standard.
