Continuing Medical Education (CME)

The Continuing Medical Education (CME) Department at St. Francis Hospital is responsible for coordinating CME programs throughout the year for various departments. We also run monthly meetings and lectures for the medical and ancillary staff that include:

  • Grand Rounds Meetings every third Wednesday (except in July, August and December)
  • Physician Assistants Lectures every second Tuesday
  • ICU Conferences every last Tuesday

We hold Fundamentals in Critical Care Support Courses four times a year. The course and dates are posted on the CHSLI Intranet site and on the Society for Critical Care Medicine’s website.

The CME Department at St. Francis also coordinates major conferences for the Hospital and its Cardiac Research Department, which often attract international attendees. We are also working on a Pain Management Symposium scheduled for September and a weekend conference with the Hispanic Medical and Dental Society in October.
